If you haven't noticed, I love painting hair (facial, body, armpits) and faces. This small painting is a subject that I’ve always loved even since I was a little boy, which is to paint interesting faces. One of the first things that I learned to paint and draw, even as a small boy of about seven or eight years old, were human faces. I identify as queer, so this person appeals to my respect for all of us who exist in various spots on the gender spectrum.
