Actor, Singer, and YouTube Sensation Has Created Unique Way to Give Back
The dynamic Frankie J. Grande is hosting the second annual Rainbowthon, a virtual concert benefitting the Center on June 3. Last year, with the help of some famous friends, Grande raised $55,000 in one night to support Center programs and services impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. “I would love to beat last year’s total,” he says.
As a trans-identified member of the Center’s Board of Directors, Jordan Held, LCSW, shares how he wants to help create greater strides in the Center’s work. “I want to uplift the voices of marginalized folks within the LGBTQ community,” he says.
Author James Sie has been so impacted by volunteering at the Center that he turned the book launch for his queer-themed novel All Kinds of Other into a fundraiser for the Center and raised more than $800.
