Rodin_Age_of_Bronze_1875

Rodin_Age_of_Bronze_1875
When Rodin first showed thishe got attacked by the critics saying that,  something along the lines of that he made a mold of the body and then just cast it.  He went on tour with the model, a young soldier, and the sculpture and allowed art critics to measure and compare both of them. It was decided that he hadn't made molds.

Initially was called, "The  Vanquished," because of the fact that it was an anti-war statement. However, after  the sculpture got a lot of notoriety,  I'm not sure if this is because of that, Rodin change the name to, "The  Age Of  Bronze."
