In a new opinion piece, actor Tim Robbins and California Senator Ted Lieu
propose using the arts as one solution to California's prisoner crowding crisis. They point out "Arts-in-corrections programs have helped inmates express and manage their emotions; gain new insights; change destructive behaviors; and transform lives. These programs can bring down the recidivism rate."
