This year's 30 Below Contest is open to all young poets, fiction and nonfiction writers, graphic artists, photographers, filmmakers, and performers between eighteen and thirty years old.

$1,500 First Prize
$750 Second Prize
$300 Third Prize
Ten finalists receive $100 each.

We’re looking for poems, short stories, short shorts, essays, memoirs, photo essays, audio and video stories, graphic stories, all forms of literary nonfiction, and excerpts from longer works of both fiction and nonfiction.
